Welcome to Compatbl! We’re thrilled to have you join our community of like-minded individuals connecting through brunches, dinners, networking events, and adventures. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Compatbl.com and our services (collectively, “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our Services. Let’s get into the details!

1. Eligibility

To join Compatbl, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old—minors under 18 are not allowed under any circumstances;

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during sign-up; and
  

• Be legally able to enter into this agreement.

  We reserve the right to refuse or terminate access to anyone who doesn’t meet these criteria.

  
  

2. How Our Services Work

Compatbl connects you with compatible groups for events based on a brief survey. We plan and host gatherings in public venues, sending you monthly emails with event details. You’re responsible for attending (or letting us know if you can’t), respecting others, and complying with these Terms.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only;

• Respect fellow members—harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior won’t fly;

• Keep your account info secure and not share it with others;

• Follow all applicable laws and venue rules during events; and

• Notify us if someone under 18 tries to use your account (we take this seriously!).
  

4. Prohibited Conduct

Don’t ruin the vibe! You may not:

• Misrepresent yourself or provide false info;

• Use our Services for illegal activities or to promote harm;

• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse our website;

• Solicit or sell anything at our events without our permission; or

• Register on behalf of a minor or allow anyone under 18 to use our Services through your account.

5. Event Participation

We strive to make events safe and enjoyable, but:

• You attend at your own risk—we’re not liable for incidents beyond our control (e.g., venue issues or weather);

• You’re responsible for your conduct and any costs beyond what’s included (e.g., extra drinks); and

• We may cancel or modify events with notice—life happens, and we’ll roll with it!
  

6. Intellectual Property

Our website, logo, and content are ours (or our licensors’). You may not copy, distribute, or use them without our written consent, except for personal use as part of our Services. Share your event pics, though—we love a good memory!

7. Termination

We can suspend or terminate your access if you:

• Breach these Terms;

• Engage in conduct that harms Compatbl or its members; or

• Attempt to involve minors in our Services.
  You can also walk away anytime—just let us know, and we’ll part as friends.
  

8. Disclaimers

We aim for perfection but can’t guarantee it. Our Services are provided “as is,” and we don’t warrant:

• Uninterrupted access (tech glitches happen);

• Exact matches (human chemistry is an art, not a science); or

• Outcomes from events (you bring the spark—we just set the stage).
  

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Compatbl isn’t liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost opportunities);

• Issues arising from your interactions with other members or third parties; or

• Losses beyond our reasonable control.
  Our total liability won’t exceed $100 or the amount you’ve paid us in the last 6 months, whichever is greater.
  

10. Indemnification

If your actions (e.g., breaking these Terms) cause us legal headaches, you agree to cover our costs, including attorney fees. Let’s keep it fun and drama-free, okay?

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Compatbl evolves. We’ll notify you of changes via email or our website, and they take effect when posted (check the “Last Updated” date). Continued use means you’re on board!

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in Alameda County courts.
